"Discussions" is another section, where investors and traders can find suitable information, and where financial consultants, or simply authors who have a need to express themselves, can address other users. Anyone can start a discussion.  There is no need to be afraid of it.
Figure: When you get to the DISCUSSIONS section, a page with the same design as the main page of ARTICLES or PUBLISHED ANALYSES will appear.   Individual subsections into which the discussions are divided appear in the second row of the bar. The subsection PUBLIC TOPICS contains all the public contributions from the website users. The section PRIVATE TOPICS enables a number of users to start a discussion unavailable to other users. The subsection FAVORITE TOPICS enables you to label certain discussions as your favorite, and thus gather them in one place. The discussions can be filtered by author, chosen topic (stocks, currencies, etc.) and by the number of ratings, number of views, number of comments, and by the author's last comment.

Discussion page - On the left there are charts inserted by the author, which are constantly updated (the author can insert the charts from an article, analysis, or from his directory).  This way the same charts are available to all the debaters.  The discussion contributions are located on the right. Each discussion has one main moderator- the author of the discussion. The author of the discussion can choose another co-moderator, to whom he assigns administrator rights. These rights enable him to insert main contributions, delete inappropriate contributions, or edit the features of the discussion. Each contributor to the discussion can insert charts that were created here into the discussion, and also his own figures (for example, static price charts), which can then be annotated.
The list of reactions and charts is automatically renewed if a certain user responds to a contribution, or if the administrator edits an annotation. Therefore, the discussion provides a flexible platform for communication in real time.
With the button with the star in the right upper corner you can add any discussion to your favorites.

Starting a new discussion

Every user can start a new discussion. Users with a paid subscription also have the option of inserting dynamic, automatically updated price charts of financial instruments contained in our database, into the discussions.

Figure: You can start a discussion in any of the DISCUSSIONS subsections. The window for starting a discussion is located under the list of existing discussions (PUBLICATIONS/DISCUSSION).

When starting a discussion you must fill in a form, in which you will give the new discussion a name, chose a thematic range (stocks, currencies, commodities, etc), assign the related symbols, or attach a directory with charts that will become a part of this discussion. All readers of the new discussion forum will see the content of this directory. Filling in the thematic range and related symbols enables other readers to search through the website and search topics and information about the stocks (currencies, commodities, mutual funds), that they are interested in.
Figure: Form for starting a discussion

At the bottom of the previous figure we can see a bar for writing the names of users who can visit and view the discussion. This option only applies to closed discussions, where the author of is not interested in a public discussion, but only wants to debate with some of his acquaintances or friends.
The second window from the bottom enables you to designate another discussion administrator. For example, if the author wants to keep the discussion contributions constantly updated on the highest user level (administrator), but doesn't have enough time himself to keep writing contributions, then he can make an agreement with one or more administrators.
Figure: Result of starting a discussion - Each reader can assess the discussion contributions by voting - by assigning a positive or negative vote. This has two purposes
1.    The assessment can motivate the debaters to post good contributions
2.    We can use it to follow notoriously bad contributors. By this we do not mean erroneous contributions in terms of the understanding of capital markets, but rather contributions that are vulgar, rude, and that humiliate the authors of other contributions. If such cases occur, we will disable the author of these contributions to access the discussion.

The www.finecharts.com website will regularly reward authors of the most viewed and appreciated discussions with free access to our website, or by enabling them to use certain premium additional features.  We will reward authors of the most successful articles and published analysis in a similar way.
